Adding New Skills
February has been all about learning more photo editing techniques. I’ve purchased two “courses” where I am learning how to edit photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. In the past, I’ve stayed away from Lightroom because of a lack of navigation knowledge. Learning how to edit with dodge and burn and additional compositing techniques has been motivating.
The feature image is an example of what I have been learning about using dodge and burn editing for portraits. Looking at my gallery page, you can see that I am more comfortable with nature and landscape photography.
Finding people willing to pose for me has been the biggest limit so far. I tried to use Bumble for networking but that was clearly not setup for how I thought I could use it. Any tips on getting people to pose for normal fully clothed photos? Is Model Mayhem still a thing? I used to have an account on Model Mayhem but there was never any actual follow through, especially with local models in Northeast Wisconsin.
Honestly having a velcro dog has tied me down a lot. Rebel does not like being left alone. I thought about getting a dog carrying bag to use to take him places like state parks where he could be on my back. Anyways, more photo editing to come.
