Rescue Dog Photo Gallery
I attended a gallery show at the ArtGarage in downtown Green Bay. The photography showing by Audrey Thomas included photos of dogs from Lucky 7 Dog Rescue. They even had dogs and puppies from the rescue who attended.
The photography was excellent and the photos were for sale with suggested donations. I fell in love with a photo of a grey and white English Bulldog and made a donation for that print. I won’t get the print until the end of November.
This weekend I am meeting a potential dog of my own. A purebred Shih tzu who is a retired show dog. The photos at the gallery were mostly shot against a black wall with white trim and maple floors. The color scheme of the room in the background is the same as what I plan to do in my guest bedroom.
Donating for the photo print, I needed to talk to three different people and walk back and forth from two different areas. I hope this amount of effort did not hinder people from making donations. Although I’m sure the alcohol sales helped donations as well.
The gallery showing was a nice observation of an idea to coincide with my near future “Advancing Community Integration” series. What fun it would be to have a gallery showing where community resources and community members could come together.
