Welcome to Relentless Advance. This website was originally, Relentless Advance Photography, a photography gallery website. It then transitioned into a personal blog in 2015 where I researched social work topics in the news and posted my relevant knowledge and opinions. This led to a real-world job offer that has encompassed the last six years of my life. I went from a made-up job title to Clinical Director and Program Director.

I recently was gifted with a catalyst moment that pushed my ‘back of the bus’ ideas and plans into the forefront of my brain. One of my group of coworkers who have stuck together for six years left. I had previously left for seven months and returned after dabbling in a therapist role. I fear my return to the traditional working world was more for safety and consistency than letting opportunities come and grow.

It was so easy to go back to what I knew and to have a consistent paycheck. It was also easy to overwork myself once again into having no personal life outside of work and taking on the stress of an entire agency. I have also been freelance writing for one year now as well. The catalysts and signs keep coming forward pointing me in different directions.

Gardening and landscape design have been interests of mine since Middle School. When I finished high school, I wanted to become a landscape designer, but I also did not want my passions to be lost to supporting myself financially. I do not regret becoming a clinical social worker though, I love working with kids and systems of care.

In Middle School while I was slowly transitioning from extroversion to introversion. My parents invested in my passion and soon the whole family was invested in landscaping the yard each year, much to my brothers’ dismay. The funny thing is that my younger brother grew up to work as a landscaper for the St. Louis Arch through the government.

Relentless Advance as a personal blog has had a mixture of gardening posts throughout the years, mostly involving the purchase of my own home and the ability to create a landscape that empties all the design ideas out of my head. During my brief period of being an independent contractor and therapist, I had artist Beau Thomas create a mural on the side of my garage to keep me focused on Relentless Advance.

Relentless Advance is now solely for gardening and landscaping while I migrate my personal blog and social work topics over to another website. If I can spend a few hours a week writing website content for other people around the world, I can dedicate a few hours to creating content for my own websites. I happen to specialize in gardening articles, so the transition should be easy and enjoyable.
