spoken-word poet

I decided that weekend posts are not going to be advocacy or social work themed. They are going to be more art and vision.

I have many goals centered around art this year, mainly in writing and photography. One thing I am working on is creating a poetry video. If you go to Button Poetry on Youtube, you can find a playlist called ‘poetry observed’. Being a spoken-word poet, it is a little more difficult to be published in the literary magazines. So I have committed to creating audio and a few video versions of my poems.

I have found both royalty-free and pay-to-use music for the background. I have committed to setting the scene at High Cliff state park. And the title will be “Life is Poetry.” I just have to finish writing the poem and record it with my microphone and audio editing software.
